Val Landi joined Realtimepublishers in May of 2005. He has more than 25 years experience as a senior sales and marketing executive for both Fortune 500 companies and entrepreneurial startups: from Executive Vice President of IDG, the world’s largest information-technology media and research company, to Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen's Interval Research in Palo Alto, to Chief Marketing Officer of Google/Yahoo-competitor LookSmart, one of the Web's early search directories and search service for MSN. Val was also CEO of Redband Broadcasting, a Sony venture, producers of Web-based audio programs for the media and entertainment industries.

Val is in charge of crafting the corporate strategy to build Realtimepublishers into a 21st Century technology and consumer publishing company.

Val's education includes a B.A. from Northern Michigan University, graduate studies at St. Peters College, Oxford, and a Master's degree (history and literature) from Harvard.


Prior to joining Realtime, Val completed a two-year sabbatical, which he spent at his Park City home, writing a debut novel of suspense, "A Woman from Cairo." The book was inspired by one of the emerging themes of the 21st century, the clash of faith and technology. The book will be available on Amazon in mid-February, or visit Val is a passionate fly fisherman, Seattle Seahawk's fan, and four-season explorer of the Montana and Wyoming highcountry in his brother's Whitefish-based Sirrus and vintage Boeing PT-17 Stearman bi-plane. A fanatical movie goer (Capote, Natural History of Violence, Prime, King Kong, MatchPoint among most recent) and reader, including biography, history, and great suspense novels (Marathon Man, Eye of the Needle, Odessa File, Day of the Jackal, Key to Rebecca, Silence of the Lambs, The English Patient among the Hall of Famers).
